Reading Station Remodelling, Berkshire

RWA Rail has supported both Peter Brett Associates (on behalf of Reading Borough Council) and more recently Network Rail in assessing options for the remodelling of Reading station.

A large RailSys™ model of the Great Western route was built for this project and various timetables were modelled. The RailSys™ model was used to assess various infrastructure and signalling options for the proposed remodelling. This was used to determine what the impact would be on performance of implementing the schemes.

The results of the modelling work are currently being used to inform the development of the business case for the preferred option.
